As Part of the exhibition ‘New Simplicity’ each designer was asked to design an object which utilised the unique process and materials of rapid manufacture.
Clamp-able comprises of four components, each built a fraction of a millimetre from the other. Manufacturing in this way means that once removed from the machine the object is one moving, adjustable mechanism, with no assembly nor can it be dismantled. The end result could not be achieved via any other manufacturing process other than rapid forming.
